St. Matthew 28:18-20 states:
These verses that we so aptly call "The Great Commission" are indeed the basis for our mission statement. Considering the present times, reaching souls for the Kingdom of Heaven is imperative. And the blessedness of our mission is that as he empowers us, His Kingdom will come. The city of Rome and its south side are a great harvest. We, the Lovejoy Family, shall work to this end: To preach deliverance to the captives, to recover sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord (St. Luke 4:19). When Christ comes for His church we want to answer YES LORD!!! For I was hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. YES LORD!!! For as we have done this unto the least of them, our brothers and sisters, we have done it unto you (St. Matthew 25:35-40). So the mission of our church is finally and clearly stated in our church theme: Together
